Biography
2016-17 HIGHLIGHTS:
- Signed ECHL contract with Greenville on 6/7/16
- Recorded 34 saves on 35 shots in 5-1 preseason win over Atlanta on 10/8/16
- Attended training camp with the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL)
CAREER NOTES:
Recorded his first professional shutout with a 26-save performance on 11/25/15 at Norfolk… Earned the win in his professional debut on 10/23/15 with a 25-save performance vs. South Carolina… Signed an ECHL contract with Greenville on 10/12/15 after entering training camp on a tryout agreement... Completed a three-year career at Penn State University in May, 2015… Started the 2014-15 campaign as the third-string goalie before ultimately claiming the starting role and earning an All-Big 10 Honorable Mention with a 6-5-1 record, 3.05 goals-against average and .909 saves rate in a career-high 13 appearances... Earned the program's first win at the NCAA Division I level with a 32-save performance against AIC on 10/13/12... Stopped all 34 shots he faced against Army on 10/26/12 to record the first shutout in Penn State’s NCAA history... Saved a career-high 46 chances against Wisconsin the same season... In 2015, became the first goalie and Big-10 player to earn the Derek Hines Unsung Hero Award as voted by the Hockey Commissioners Association, recognizing his autism awareness efforts, fundraising for pediatric cancer research and involvement with “teach hockey days” for Pennsylvania youth.
