Biography
Draft: Selected by Colorado Avalanche round 4 #113 overall 2007 NHL Entry Draft Juniors: Played two seasons for the Ceder Rapids RoughRiders of the United States Hockey League (USHL)… In his rookie season (06-07) posted a 20-5-3 record with a 2.91 GAA and a .913 save percentage (2nd in league)… Named to the USHL All-Rookie team for that year… Registered a record of 10-6-1 with a GAA of 2.49 and save percentage of .912 in his second and final USHL season (07-08)… Collegiate: Played four seasons for the University of Minnesota Gold Gophers (WCHA)… Teammates with Gladiators forward Nathan Condon for two seasons (10-12)… (Only appeared in 15 games (6 starts) his first two years (08-10) collecting a record of 2-6-2 with an average GAA of 2.82 and a .913 save percentage… Early in his Junior season (10-11), became starter due to injury and broke out with a record of 14-9-6, a GAA of 2.54 and save percentage of .919… Named WCHA second team all-star in that season… Started all 43 games for the Gophers and was in net for all but 20 minutes his Senior year (11-12)… Finished the campaign with a 28-14-1 record, 7 shutouts, a 2.32 goals against and .907 save percentage… Led the Gophers to the WCHA regular season title and all the way to the Frozen Four… Professional: 11-12: On May 11, 2012, signed first professional contract, an entry level deal with the Colorado Avalanche after completing his senior season at the University of Minnesota… 12-13: Appeared in five games for the Avalanche’s AHL affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters, posting a 1-2-1 record with a save percentage of .907, GAA of 2.55 and one shutout… Appeared in 33 games for Colorado’s CHL affiliate, the Denver Cutthroats… Helped the expansion Cutthroats to the playoffs with a 14-10-6 record, 3.01 GAA, .910 save percentage and one shutout… 13-14: Compiled a record of 23-10-7 posting a GAA of 2.71 and save percentage of .922 to go along with his two shutouts for Denver… Started just two games in the AHL for the Lake Erie Monsters… 14-15: On August 4, 2014 signed to a one-year contract with ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears… Would later be traded to the Gwinnett Gladiators on January 16, 2015… Split time with the Solar Bears and Gladiators putting up a combined record of 9-20-5, a 3.36 GAA and .889 save percentage… 15-16: Re-signed with Gladiators on Wednesday July 15, 2015…
