Biography

  • Set new career highs in goals (6), assists (28), points (34) and penalty minutes (42) over the course of 67 games with the Iowa Wild last season.
  • Spent the past four seasons with Iowa, compiling 12 goals and 57 assists for 69 points over 216 games.
  • 2016-17: Completed his second pro season, setting a career high for assists and points in a season. Ranks 6th overall and first among all defensemen on Iowa’s all-time games played list heading into the 2017-18 season
  • 2015-16: Completed his first full pro season after signing a one-year, entry-level deal with Minnesota on Mar. 30, 2015. Placed third on the team and led all defenseman in games played (69) in his rookie campaign. Scored his first pro goal in a 3-2 win at home over Texas on Oct. 24, 2015.
  • 2014-15: Turned pro and suited up in eight games with Iowa after signing an ATO on Mar. 30, 2015.  Made his pro debut in a 6-0 win at home over Rochester on Apr. 3, 2015. Picked up his first multi-point game of his career with two assists in a 4-2 loss at Oklahoma City on Apr. 18, 2015. Completed his college career in March of 2015. Did not miss a game during his four seasons at Minnesota State playing in a school record 160 consecutive contests and recording 96 points (25-71=96) and 109 PIM. His point total ranks T-1st amongst school defensemen in the Division I-era (1996-97 to present). Was All-WCHA First Team for the second consecutive season and All-WCHA and All-Academic for the third consecutive season. He made the WCHA All-Tournament team and was a Second Team All-American.
  • 2013-14: Attended San Jose Sharks prospect camp. The Mavericks finished second in the re-aligned Western College Hockey Association and won the league playoff title to earn an NCAA tournament berth. Minnesota State lost, 2-1, to Massachusetts-Lowell in the NCAA Northeast Regional. Named to the WCHA All-Academic Team and was a First Team All-WCHA selection.
  • 2012-13: Attended the Philadelphia Flyers’ prospect camp in the summer before returning to Minnesota State for his sophomore season.
  • 2011-12: Was the leading scorer amongst defensemen for Minnesota State-Mankato in his freshman season.
