Career Notes: Enters his fourth pro season in 2017-18, having re-signed a one-year, two-way deal with Minnesota on July 10, 2017… 2016-17: Recorded a goal in Iowa's 3-2 SOW over Manitoba on Oct.15, 2016 - the goal moved him in front of Tyler Graovac for first on Iowa's goal scoring list. Recalled to Minnesota for the first time in his NHL career, making his NHL debut on Nov. 10, 2016 at Pittsburgh, playing 9:17 of ice time in a 4-2 Wild win. Played in his 200th career AHL game vs. Chicago on Mar. 31, 2017 - 4-0 defeat at home.  Became the first player in Iowa history to reach 200 games. Finished the season among the franchise leaders in Iowa history for games played, goals, assists and points… 2015-16: Set the Iowa single season team record for goals in a season with 22. Led Iowa in goals and points. Moved up on the all-time leaders list for Iowa in goals (tied for 1st), games played (4th), points (2nd), assists (tied for 5th), game-winning goals (1st) and shorthanded goals (1st). Played in his 100th AHL game on Dec. 3, 2015 at Lake Erie. Hit in the face with a puck, left game and returned to score the GWG in a 4-3 OT win at Charlotte on Dec.15, 2015. Did not dress for the first time in his career due to illness, halting a streak of 134 straight games - the longest in Iowa Wild history.  The streak ran from Oct. 10, 2014 - Mar. 2, 2016. Set an Iowa single season record for most goals with his 22nd on Apr. 15, 2016 vs. Chicago… 2014-15: Played in his first pro season, finishing second on the team in goals and fourth overall in points. Led all Iowa rookies in points. Set new team rookie records for goals, assists and points in a season. Became only the second player to play all 76 regular season games – was only player on 2014-15 roster to not miss a game. 2013-14: Mitchell was invited to Carolina's training camp but was not signed; returning to Guelph for an overage season. He was the Storm's fourth-leading scorer as Guelph had the OHL's best record and finished first in the Midwest Division. An alternate captain, Mitchell scored 31 goals with 52 assists and was +52 with 40 penalty minutes in 67 regular season games. Led the team in playoff scoring with 30 points and 18 assists. 2012-13: Mitchell attended the Winnipeg Jets development camp in the summer before returning to Guelph for his fourth season. An alternate captain, he skated in all 68 regular season games and was the Storm's third-leading scorer with 22 goals and 34 assists; finishing +7 with 34 penalty minutes. 2011-12: Mitchell had a breakout season in his third year with Guelph, leading the Storm in goals (37) and assists (38). Playing in 67 of 68 regular season games he finished +6 with 32 penalty minutes as the Storm finished fourth in the Midwest Division.
